Algarve Beach

Praia da Armona beach is situated at the western end of Ilha da Armona. On the inland side there are the extensive lagoons forming the nature reserve or Ria Formosa, where on the other side the there island of Armona, Culatra and Farol act as barrier to the sea. Feryboats are the only mean to reach these beaches which leaves from fishing port of Olhao.

The journey can take around half an hour and leaves every 15 minutes. When you will reach there, you will notice very few humans and the beautiful nature around you. Passengers are dropped at the southern end of the island. From there again 15 minutes journey which is a mind blowing experience in itself.

There are many facilities available on the beach. If you want to play there are variety of water sports facilities are available too. For other purposes couples of restaurants and toilets are also present over there. If you want to take walking experience on the beach, you can go both directions and enjoy the beauty of nature.
