Algarve Rail Route Transport

Reaching Algarve by rail is the most comfortable, cheap, easy and fast as compare to other means of transportation.

There are many trains to the Algarve that leave from Lisbon; it takes around 3-4 hours to reach. The journey up to Tunes is the most common; here you can change the train if you want to move towards the Lagos. If you are heading towards the Faro you don’t have to change the train.

Garo de Oriente is the main station which is located in the Parque das Nacoes on the east of the city center, which is designed by the architect Santiago Calatrava.

You may get a discount of about 10% on buying the ticket online from the company’s website. You can also buy tickets at the train ticket or at any ATM machine.

You need to buy the tickets as soon as possible, before reaching the station as the seats are reserved.
